For years, web professionals and tech enthusiasts have been longing for the death of Internet Explorer 6 (IE 6). It’s been ten long years since its debut and ten years is about a century in tech years. IE 6 really has nothing going for it now. It’s slow and full of bugs. It’s terrible to view sites in and terrible to develop websites for. Microsoft has released two newer versions of Internet Explorer, IE 7 and IE 8, and is about to release Internet Explorer 9 soon which supports CSS3 and HTML5. There is no advantage in using IE 6 at all! Please upgrade to the latest browser. It’ll make my life, as a web developer, and your life easier, hence making the world a better place.

Microsoft has even set up a website so that users can abandon IE 6. Visit the site and find more reasons for you to upgrade that ancient browser.

I was online looking for ways to increase subscribers to our blog when I came across a gem, Best Practices for Email Marketing, for those who are like me, new to email marketing. It’s written by iContact , a leading email marketing platform.

While I love the article, I must say Illuvation does not use iContact. We are currently testing the waters with MailChimp. Don’t worry; I’ll give a review once I get a better feel for it. In the meantime, check out the article and be sure to let us know how it helped your campaigns.

PS. Don’t forget to subscribe to Illuvation. Simply enter your email address in the box on your right, and we’ll deliver all of our blog posts to your inbox every Friday!
